A Holiday for Love
I love, love, love this movie! It's a romantic holiday classic!
Can a small town tractor factory be saved from layoffs when a stranger comes to town? And is this stranger really who the town hopes him to be? We find out in "A Holiday for Love," the DVD title for a production better-known as "Christmas in My Hometown," which recently aired on Lifetime Television for Woman (a top five favorite of mine!)
Can you get a movie pairing more perfectly suited and cuter than Tim Matheson (Jake Peterson) and Melissa Gilbert (Emma Murphy)? I don't see how, and that is why I just adore "A Holiday for Love". Strong acting and believable characters enhance this beautifully told and gorgeously filmed story of mistaking identity, falling in-love, second chances, forgiveness, Christmas miracles and finding true happiness.
Rounding off the impressive and charming cast is Michelle Trachtenberg as Emma's daughter "Noël, "Jack Jessop as "Happy", Gordon Pinsent as Emma's dad "Cal" and country singer Travis Tritt playing "Sheriff Tom Uhll", who also is heard singing the title song " Christmas in My Hometown." DVD extras include interactive menus, scene access, biographies, film highlights, photo gallery and production notes.
Santa, I've been a very good girl this year. Do you think you might send me a smart, funny, handsome and successful businessman with family morals who looks very much like Tim Matheson? Ahh, Tim, he's the epitome of my dream guy! Hey, it's Christmastime, a gal can wish!
